F1 is coming back to the Las Vegas strip and race day preparations are underway. Barricades and race equipment are slowly taking over the iconic strip for on of the few city circuits in the F1 calendar.

Formula One has no plans to add a sprint race to the Las Vegas Grand Prix schedule in the near future as officials remain “quite comfortable” keeping the format at other events.

HENDERSON, Nev. (FOX5) - The City of Henderson plans to host a free Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix Watch Party. It’s scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23 at 8 p.m. The race will start around 10 p.m. Water Street Plaza will have a 42-foot jumbotron with a DJ, giveaways and limited amount of free food.

Forget the speed limit. From Nov. 21-23, the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix is whizzing into the F1 Las Vegas Strip Autodrome for three days of high-octane racing featuring some of the biggest names in the sport.

Formula 1 is known for high-end hospitality, and hotels have taken the Las Vegas Grand Prix to new heights with some rooms going for as much as $20,000 a night.
