Israeli war planes pound Beirut suburb, Hezbollah strikes back
The Israeli military pounded Beirut's southern suburbs with airstrikes on Tuesday, mounting one of its heaviest daytime attacks yet on the Hezbollah-controlled area after the defence minister ruled out a ceasefire until Israeli goals were met.
At least 20 people were killed and 13 injured in Israeli air strikes in the Mount Lebanon area, the Lebanese health ministry said on Tuesday.
The widespread orders across southern Lebanon came amid what appeared to be intensifying efforts to reach a cease-fire.
