Canada women's soccer coach Bev Priestman has been fired after an independent review of a drone surveillance scandal at the Paris Olympics.

An independent review of drone use by a staff member of Canada's women's soccer team at this year's Paris Olympics showed a "pattern of unacceptable culture" and lack of oversight, Canada Soccer said on Friday.

The Canadian women's soccer team was implicated in a drone scandal this past summer. But, an investigation determined drone use against opponents, predated the Paris Olympics.

Bev Priestman is out as the head coach of Canada's women's soccer team, following an independent report into drone spying at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Canada Soccer says assistant coach Jasmine Mander and analyst Joseph Lombardi are also gone.
