Mumbai: Senior Maharashtra Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat said on Thursday that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) will assume power after the state assembly elections and expressed “100% confidence” that the next chief minister of the state will be from his party.

Mumbai: The Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) will form the next government in Maharashtra and the chief minister’s post will go to someone from the Congress, senior Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat said in Mira-Bhayander on Thursday.

Thorat’s declaration marks the first time a senior MVA leader has openly suggested that the next Chief Minister will be from Congress.
