Lando Norris dominated Formula 1’s Singapore Grand Prix, but Max Verstappen limited the damage in the title race by finishing a distant second, in a soporific encounter under the lights around the streets of Marina Bay. Just seven cars finished on the lead lap, and only two challengers finished within one minute of race-winner Norris.

Norris cut another seven points off Verstappen’s lead Sunday with a dominating win in the Singapore Grand Prix. Norris led from pole and didn’t relinquish the lead as he won by nearly 30 seconds. After managing his pace over the opening laps, Norris took off from Verstappen and the rest of the field to turn the race into a snoozer.

Lando Norris wins his third Formula One race of the season, taking the Singapore Grand Prix 20 seconds ahead of Max Verstappen. This narrows the driver championship gap to 50 points, with Verstappen still in the lead.
