An area of low pressure near the Gulf of Mexico is likely to form into a tropical depression next week, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami.

The National Hurricane Center is continuing to forecast the development of a tropical disturbance that could move into the Gulf of Mexico next week and become a tropical depression. The disturbance hasn’t formed yet, however.
