The Met Office has extended a yellow rain warning to Monday, as Britain braces for a rainy weekend. Sunday will see heavy outbreaks of rain moving northwards through the morning across southern England and much of Wales.

A yellow weather warning has been issued for Sunday by the met office, who said there is a chance of strong storm in isolated areas. The met office added that the storms will be mostly in the eastern are of the island along with the mountains.

Heavy rain is expected over the next few days as the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for much of the UK. The warning is in place for the entirety of today and tomorrow (September 23), with the meteorological office stating areas of heavy rain could bring disruption over the next couple of days.
