FLORIDA, USA — A large 6.8 magnitude earthquake took place off the southeastern coast of Cuba Sunday around 11:49 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey's (USGS) map. The quake, which was only 14 kilometers deep, was felt as far away as South Florida.

HAVANA — A 6.8 magnitude earthquake shook eastern Cuba on Sunday, after weeks of hurricanes and blackouts that have left many on the island reeling. The epicenter of the quake was located approximately 25 miles (40 km) south of Bartolomé Masó, Cuba, according to a report by the United States Geological Survey.
