Israel has for the first time confirmed that it was behind the operation in September to detonate hundreds of pagers used by Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin “Netanyahu confirmed Sunday that he greenlighted the pager operation in Lebanon,” his spokesman Omer Dostri was quoted as saying.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday accepted to have "okayed" the pager attacks in Lebanon, two months after the deadly attacks killed 40 people and wounded 3,000 people in September.

Netanyahu's admission came on Sunday, following a report by his spokesperson Omer Dostri, who stated that the Prime Minister had approved the operation

The Israeli Air Force has destroyed launch sites used by Hezbollah militants to attack the Israeli cities of Acre and Ahihud. Additionally, dozens of terrorists have been eliminated within Lebanese territory,
