Saturday, September 21, CBI investigators began questioning another doctor, allegedly linked to the arrested former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Dr Sandip Ghosh, as part of their probe into the rape and murder of a woman doctor at the institution,

As per CBI, Dr Birupaksha Biswas was seen at the hospital on August 9 – the day of the crime – despite no official engagement there.

The Bharatiya Janata Party held a protest in Nag Bazar, Kolkata against the handling of the RG Kar Medical College rape-murder case. They alleged mismanagement by the Police Commissioner and demanded justice for the victim.

The judge hearing the CBI appeal asked whether the agency found any credible lead to suggest that both Sandip and Abhijit were involved in the rape and murder of the junior doctor at the RG Kar

FIR lodged against Birupaksha Biswas and two other doctors for allegedly threatening medical college student across West Bengal.

The junior doctors have been protesting for over a month, seeking improvements in healthcare and working conditions

The CBI has approached the court for permission to conduct narco analysis on former principal Sandip Ghosh and a polygraph test on ex-Tala PS OC Abhij

The CBI, during its submission in the Sealdah court on Friday, said that Ghosh has not been cooperating with the investigators.
