Feb 26, 2020 · Planning to lube whatever switch with GHv4 as well. Case and plate will contribute most of the "thocky" sound characteristics. For switches, softer housings tend to have deeper sounds. Cherry housings, Gateron milky housings, etc. Gateron black inks are very popular.

Jan 28, 2022 · Novelkeys is a very good place to buy switches. If you're in the US, they ship incredibly fast. KPRepublic is also a solid place to buy switches from. I would try to avoid amazon unless you really have to and do not have access to actual keyboard vendor.

Sep 6, 2023 · The K Pro Bananas still sound the best. If you want to be more analytical you’ll want to put the switches in the same row or even the same position. Switches in different areas of the board will sound different, especially if they are on different rows since the sculpt of the keycap will also affect sound.
