Updates Hurricane Ian: Recovery continues, openings begin
Oct. 2 Update: Anna Maria Island’s beaches survived the impact of Hurricane Ian almost completely intact. Manatee County reported mid-day Oct. 2 that staff conducted before and after measurements of the beach along 25 sites and found essentially “zero loss” of sandy beach resource width or depth of beach from Hurricane Ian effects.
